chad, you're right.  i just went and looked at the car again, and
though the steering rack sits behind the wheels, it attaches to the
struts in front of the steering axis.  so more negative camber will
result in more toe-out.

i suspect max negative camber is probably the way to go.  if you have
a pyrometer, you can take tire temperatures and see how much camber you
need.  i bet the maximum you can get won't be enough.

as to bob's point about the difficulty of marking toe, i took a look
and saw that the toe is adjusted by an interesting bolt that has
left and right hand threads, with a hex in the center for turning the
bolt.  rotating this hex adjuster causes the bolt to thread in or
out of the tie rod and tie rod end simultaneously.  it wouldn't take
very many turns to make a big change in toe.

how about counting turns, then?  you can write the number of turns
on the frame with white paint so you don't have to keep looking it
up in your notebook (you do keep one for your track activities, right?
it's very useful for remembering what you dod and how it worked.)
