[s-cars] Audiphone upgrade

While we're on the subject, someone (The Don?) mentioned a whiz-bang box
that was permanent, with interchangeable adapters to allow for upgrades to
your shoephone without a forklift/rip-out-by-the-roots upgrade of the in-car
stuff. I even saw it once at BestBuy in Milpitas, but can't remember what
it's called. Anyone?

Hello All,

Some time ago there was a thread regarding the fitment of a modern cell
phone in place of the factory Audiphone (Motorola), and wiring into the
existing hands free set-up. IIRC a couple of people were investigating the
potential.  Did anyone figure it out? I am considering a new cell phone, and
would ideally like to purchase a unit that I could interface with my S4.

Any BTDT?
