Hey Paul, no problem. AMG. :-)

Power is not the whole thing, as you know. Weight is a big
factor. Those 850Rs are pretty light, on the low end of the 3000lb.
scale, while the W210 (?) chassis is on the high side of the 3000lb.
scale.

I was able to beat a E420 off the line in my then-stock 200q, once
I turned off the A/C. Were the car a Renntech-modified car or a AMG
of nearly any flavor- E50, E55, E60, I would have been totally smoked.
Even a W126 560SEL/SEC AMG 32v would smoke me, 5.5 or 6.0L versions.
