Although I can't find the original message anymore, I believe it was about
improving the suspension on an S2, correct? I just picked up a set of shocks and
springs from Germany's Oettinger factory website for my 1990 Coupe Quattro 20V.
The link is below:
http://www.oettinger.de/web/produkte/sonderposten/produkte.htm?myproductid=243&therange=fahrwerk
I have received them but have not installed them yet. They consist of 4 springs
(30mm drop) and 4 shocks (Sachs Brand) and the set is described as
"Sportlich/komfortabel" which translates as "Sporting/Comfortable". Given the
smooth nature of German roads, I figure these will be plenty stiff for me here in
the USA. I have not installed them yet, but the quality looks good and the price
is very good. They are on closeout for 275 Euros. I do NOT have any feedback on
how they actually will turn out, but for the price I figured I'd take a chance
since the car needs shocks anyway.
Hope this helps,
Jim Klein
