In motronic (and Mac 11-14) Boost is an integrated function of engine retard,
they are not independent events. The output of the WGFV is reduced or
cancelled completely. The AMBC can't do this. Look at it this way kirby, if
a turbo is spooling upwards, and the WG is actuating, on the motronic the
boost is dialed back as knock occurs. In the AMBC, the controller is
still/only "looking" for the proper boost to rpm profile, and will clamp the
WG down to get it. Adding fuel to the fire?

I would support modifying the Motronic so that it did WG top contol like
the A'pexi, and optional limited first gear boost to save the tranny (we
could use the speed limiter dongle). Please note, however, that just
because the Motronic is no longer controlling boost, it is still
controlling spark advance, and is quite capable of retarding the spark
to kill detonation. The A'pexi can't provide boost that the engine
won't generate.
