I'm running -1.5 deg. camber (too much for even tire wear, IMHO)
and 255/40R17 tires and have no issues with tramlining.

Make sure your alignment is dead-on, not "within spec," but
dead-on.

Our A4 had a very twitchy, nervous feel due to the dealership toeing
one side out, one side in, that was "within" spec, but unacceptable
results. When aligned properly, the car felt great, rock steady.
