[s-cars] Pizzo...

Hap - as much as I hate to have to agree :-), after picking the car up
following a month out of town, I have to say, as much as it pains me to
admit, you may be right.

The new software package installed last week appears, based on what could
very well be my personal way out of calibration SOP dyno, to finally be
utilizing what I've been hoping is the true potential of all the hardware
that's been fitted to the car.

It may only be wishful thinking on my part, but I do think the car "feels"
faster - in fact I think significantly faster - than it was before I left
town September 11th.

And that's based (so far) on limited driving under the "mild" AVCR boost
program / profile Pete set up, until we can figure out if we've finally got
ride of the high boost surge under partial throttle mystery.

FWIW, I'm told there is a more (? much more) aggressive AVCR program which I
have not tried switching to yet.

Finally, to top it off, and satisfy those who think the whole shebang should
be left to complete Motronic ECU control, I'm told that's only a matter of
installing a master switch in the cabin through which WGFV control can be
toggled between the AVCR or the Bosch Motronic ECU. What I'm not sure of
now is which injectors the current software is set up for, the RS2 360
cc/min at 3 bar, or the Porsche "Orange Head" ?? 400 something + cc/min at 3
bar.

Mike "thinking he may finally be looking a little Happier by the minute
cause he's getting stretch marks around his tires" P.

PS - Its been suggested the CO Mafia might want to consider another dyno day
to (a) perhaps get some kind of base line on your big turbo set up; (b)
resolve Frank, the Don's, newly acquired, but growing more persistent,
feeling of inadequate fueling worries cause he couldn't commit & go the full
RS2 Monty; and (c) see whether or not in fact we might have made any gains
with the intake refinements and new software in the Green Car.
