You're right, Tom is wrong from your description, but double-check
to see if they are ECE certified lenses before ripping Tom a new
one.

Getting lenses is a start, I'd skip the fancy-shmancy bulbs, unless
you can get them for $20/pr. or something like that. You can always
do a piecemeal upgrade- relay the lights and do the lenses first,
then get the Xe parts later.

I'll take whatever I can get if it's a gift. :-)
