[s-cars] Wastegate Spring

Hi
Can someone help me up with this:
Why is a harder wastegate spring (sometimes) being part of a chiptuning
program for the AAN engine (S4, S6)???
In my limited understanding the pressure being passed to the wastegate
spring is all controlled by the
wgfv(freq. valve). Relative stock pressure is something like 1.15 bar
(~17psi) but the spring can just
handle a moderate 0.4 bar (5.9psi) with the the test I ran (disconnected
the cable to the wgfv). This indicates to me
that the boost-pressure is actually not being controlled by the
wastegate spring at all. Can I eventually benefit from
a quicker spool-up of the turbo with the harder spring??

Thanks,
Michael
