Understood - I am driving a six speed after all. However, I just thought
I'd share my experience in this matter as a fair number of listers are
considering this route. It's not my intent to talk anyone out of a
warranty, Mine worked fine for me. I'm just saying do the "due diligence"
and read the fine print and realize it can be a pain to follow a claim
through for both you and your mechanic. Finally, for the record, when I
made my claim for the tranny, they sent an adjuster to check it out AND I
had to work it hard for the six speed instead of a rebuilt-god-knows-where
five speed.
