Bruce:
Fat cars and drivers:
My spare, or the cars? At 240lbs, I've got to be 60-70 lbs more than Bruce.
If I stay on this diet, I might be able to get it under 2 tons!
BTW, I had a full tank of gas, and the spare was in the car.
Summit Point:
The two event hightlights for me were:
Highlight #1: Mike Galati driving my car around SP raceway for 2 laps. Holy
crap, I've got a ton more to learn!!!!!!! He was much faster than I'll
ever be, but I'm sure he was going at about 25%. Being Italian, I
understood how he needed one hand to talk to me while the other did the
driving, but it was really amazing that he kept talking (and driving with
one hand) through turns 5 though 9, which is a really tight, technical
section of the track.
Hightlight #2: With Bruce running me down (he's fast) braking into turn 1,
I blow out a stainless brake line. Hoooooollllly shit!!!!! I give Bruce a
late passing signal, which he politely declines, and he gets to follow me
around for one very interesting lap.
It was also great meeting Bob Myers there!

Well just to throw another data point out there, if one is really needed, I
recently put my '95 S6 sedan on a set of scales my friend has.
3756 lbs w/o driver (you don't really want to know the w/driver weight), 1/2
tank of gas, 17x8 S6 Avus wheels w/235/45 Dunlop SP8000 (50.2lbs ea), and
full size 17x8 Avus spare. Car is otherwise stock except for
Eibach/Bilsteins.
I had previously had the car weighed when I had an alignment done a couple
of years ago (has it been that long?) and it was 3747 lbs w/o driver, 1/2
tank, same wheels and spare. So comparable data from two sets of scales.
