Chris,

   I used a 2 inch long 3/4 copper coupler. It's actually a little larger than 3/4 because it is made to go over 2 pieces of 3/4 inch copper pipe. I got the one without a stop in the middle for 52 cents. The one with the stop in the middle is over a dollar but the stop isn't needed for this because the hose goes over the outside. I fits PERFECTLY and yes I did by my clamps at Lowes. 100% stainless about $1 ea. depending on size. (Don't forget 2 small ones for the coupling.) They squeeze the hose hard enough to bulge it around the clamp and they won't rust. Not nearly as exotic as the t-bar clamps though.

are you telling me that the coupler we need is 3/4" and can be obtained
from Lowe's? Also, did you get your clamps from Lowe's?
