While somebody like the mother, others the daugther, I am the proud owner of "that ugly bumper", and I am not at all offended by the comment..........
Yes there are enough room for a big IC, in this case a Sport Quattro IC dim: 10x22x4", a large oil cooler on the right side and an extra water-cooler on the left side. The bumper is a big piece, moulded with the lower section as a whole unit all the way to the sway-bar, eliminating the standard undercover(belly pan).
I also have a Seidl bumper type RS4 which also has plenty space, but is quite lower giving less ground clearance. Common for both types is that the aluminium crash-bar(correct word?) bolted to the frame is remowed with the IC acting as a frame member.
