I'll pull the IC again and look for this mysterious engine check light
socket.
Yes, I have the 2x2 connector in the fuse/relay box above the driver's(!)
footwell. Scott's webpage gives details about how to connect a switch and
'led & resistor' in the case of the 200 20VT (using the 3x2), but seemed to
imply that in the case of the 2x2 connector in the S4/S6, you could still
use the switch, but made no mention of the 'led & resistor', just the engine
check light.
If I draw a blank on the engine check light socket, I'll try connecting a
'led & resistor' between the 12V and the unused connector (K Line?) and see
what happens when I link the L-Line and 0v. I'll keep you informed.
