Remember, there's an old Italian saying. "What you grease to slide on, you
may have likely greased to slide off."

FWIW, a rather well versed German gentleman opined this week, that if you
find your self faced with SAMCO fittings that tend to slide off, under
hapersized boost conditions for example, it was his advice, based on some
personal experience, that one may need to revisit the offending site with a
clean rag and brake cleaner.

Maybe there's something better to use than "grease."  i.e., something that
is slippery for a time, then wears off ~ ? soapy water or its ilk.
