Joe, sounds like the typical cold solder joint failure on the back of the PC
board for the instrument cluster. When the air temp is warm, the solder
joint is basically joined together giving a good electrical current, the
colder the temps, the further stretched that solder joint becomes. You will
have to remove the instrument cluster and check all the solder joints(touch
them up with a soldering pencil) and while you're in there, use a good
quality contact cleaner on all the electrical connections. HTH,
