Moose generally do not stand still when confronted by a car; therefor it is
not recommended to do an avoiding action like swerving as your manic
instructor did. As I understand it the correct procedure is to NOT swerve
and to slam on the brakes harder than you ever did and hope you miss it.
Likewise for any animal confrontation.
