Chris,
Look closely in the daylight or use a flashlight at night to look at
the display.  Typically, it still displays temp but the backlight is
burned out. Soldered in bulb.  See tech notes at <www,URS4,com> .
Unless you are good at circuit board repair, have someone who is solder
in a new bulb.  The take-apart instructions to remove the inst cluster
is just as shown-not difficult.  The Audi part is $108 to $150.  New
bulb was $3 at radio shack.
