The a/c compressor in the UrS cars has a wobble plate which, in effect,
varies the output of the compressor to meet your cooling needs -- the
angle of the plate changes as it rotates to change the virtual volume
of the unit. This does away with that annoying on-off cycling found in
lesser cars. This bit of hi tech does not necessarily insure a long life
for the unit. On the contrary, wobbling parts tend to lead short, wobbly
lives. Rebuilt units are available.
