Todd/Hap!
I am using a TILTON adjustable proporsional valve on my system, which I believe was delivered by Willwood or a subsidary.
I am about to complete the installation of the RS2 parking-brakesystem on my car(MTM RS), and whether it is a cheaper system than the separate Brembo system I do not know. I am not sure if you can get the RS2 parts in the US either. In a couple of weeks I will mail the photos/how to and drawings to Darren for the archieves.
Both Porsche and RS2 use OD 180mm parking brake diameter, so any Porsche rear rotor will fit but with different offsets. The offset-difference of the two systems described below is 3 mm.
There are two ways to do RS2 ebrake:
One is using the whole system from a RS2 including the parking-brake cables. The trick is an aluminium spacer plate approx 10 mm thick between the rear-knuckle of the URS4/6 and the RS2 mounting plate where the the internal e-brake shoes attach to and its also acting as a caliper carrier. You also need a centering plate to adapt the RS2 rear rotor(299x24mm)to the different bolt-circle of the URS4/6(5x112mm versus 5x130mm on the Porsche). The RS2 rear caliper has 4x28mm pistons and should fit our system perfectly.
Parts needed:
2 pcs-parking brake cables - 8A0 609 721AG(different connections on the wheel side, and sligthly shorter)
4 pcs-parkbrakeshoes - 8A0 609 525C
2 pcs-retention springs - 8A0 609 715
1 pcs-mountingplate - 8A0 615 411(right)-these plates includes the "ears" for the caliper to be fastened with
-----------------"----------------------412(left)
2 pcs-expanding levers - 8A0 698 585
2 pcs-shoe holding springs -8A0 609 209
2 pcs- tension springs - 8A0 609 717
2 pcs- adjusting bolt - 8A0 609 209
2 pcs-bushing - 8A0 609 741A
2 pcs-rear rotors - 8A0 615 601D (with cast in holes)
1 pcs-caliper - 8A0 615 405M(left)
1 pcs-caliper -------------"----------- 406M(right)
1 set-brake pads -8A0 698 451A
2 pcs-stainless steel hoses and banjobolts
The price alone for these items in Norway is close to USD 2000, but is around USD1200 in Germany for those who have friends over there.
The second way is to use RS2 parking brake system as described above exclusive caliper and rotors, and use Porsche GT3 rear rotors 322x28mm rear rotors and RS2 front calipers(or any big reds) with a 7 mm spacer plate, but a separate caliper-bracket has to be manufactured. This system has a slightly larger padarea to the rotor and 44+36mm piston and needs a new proportion valve for sure to achieve the right front/rear brake ratio. This is the system I am building on my car.
Additional part numbers:(all Porsche numbers)
1 pcs-rotor 322x28 GT3 left -993 352 045 00(also with cast in holes, and the same centering plate is needed)
1 pcs-rotor right-993 352 046 00
1 pcs-caliper left - 993 351 425 10
1 pcs-caliper right-993 351 426 10
1 set of brakepads
