Argh!! Sorry for the WOB, the pic was then supposed to be located on webshots, but webshots gave me an internal error.. (Just a funny pic with a mirrored licence plate..)
BTW, I (still) have this growling in the front of the engine when I load it below 1000rpms. (while parking, queing etc..) It's worse when the engine is cold, and when using a mechanics' stethoscope (screwdriver) I can't say whether the noise is originating from the generator, A/C-compressor, fan bearing, hydraulic pump or serpentine belt tensioner. The tensioner also fluctuates quite a bit when i do a _quick_ WOT.
To minimize things, I got a TurboXS BPV, and 'new' fan bearing. The noise is also just under 'load', and i therefore rule out the hyd.pump. It's kinda ignorant to on/off of the A/C as well. Soo, there's the generator and s-belt tensioner left. The tensioner is a $380 thing, and the generator runs smooth when the belt is disconnected. Is the tensioner ment to be _really_ hard, to smoothen out the variable load of the generator and pulsing of the hyd.pump? Any 'torque' readings from a healthy tensioner anyone?
All help really appreciated, as this is the (for now) last one on my 'to do-list'

Even if it's not the same car in the two 'photos', (I didn't bother to
paintbrush'em..) it's a good one! :o)
