Hey Chris,
I have done this mod on 2 S-Cars over the past couple of months. The changing out the bulbs itself is pretty easy..but the first time is somewhat of a learning experience. The key is to have the right tools:
- Phillips Screwdriver
- Wire Snips
- Torx Bit Set (Dont know the size off hand (small))
- Small Flathead
- Needle Nose Pliers
- Utility Knife
- Some puzzle solving skills to get off all the connectors and some minor experience in Yoga ;-)

First lower your steering wheel to the lowest point. Next remove the black beauty cover part of the dash via 2 Phillips screws. Next remove the 3-4 Phillips screws holding the console in place. Gently wiggle the console out enough to start to unhook all the plugs. You will need wire snips to take off a zip tie and maybe snip a while wire management clip. Start to unhook all the plugs there are about 4 different types...use small flat head screw driver...pink clips pop upwards..straight up..
Remove console and replace all bulbs w/ Osram 2W bulbs w/ orange base. The old bulbs will have green base...use needle nose pliers to pinch the new bulbs connectors a bit to get better fit. Replace bulbs behind Speedo and tach will need knife and torx bit.

Put back together in reverse order and test before you screw all things together...Hap and I prefer the towel method over the head to get some darkness..to see your work.

Subject: [s-cars] 2.0V Intsrument Bulbs

I have a 95.5 S6 that I may install 2.0V bulbs through out the instrument
cluster.

What're the pro and cons of this? Does it cause any overheating problems in
the cluster?

Thanks in advance,
Chris
