[s-cars] 95.5 S6A Bose radio volume

OK, here's one for Halloween. The gremlins have taken up residence in my
radio. Stock Bose. Turn it on, it always starts at the same volume no matter
how it was left. Great with kids. Now the stinkin radio only turns up, no
matter which way the volume knob is turned. Also great for kids, not so
great for Dad. No matter which way the volume knob is turned, it simply gets
louder. Kind of like a sailing winch drum always going the same way, no
matter which way the handle is turned. Any thoughts as to a solution? Not
involving any Crutchfield purchases? Does it need to go to
http://carstereohelp.com? Time for a tithe or is there a simple fix?
