It could be the on/off volume control as well Cody.  At least it was in my
case.

The good news, if it's still applicable, Audi &/or Bose has or at least had
a "remanufactured"
program ~ the head unit (if in fact that's what's going out, but the program
covered front door Bose speakers as well) was replaceable for @ $100 with a
"core" for trade in.

I've had to have one door speaker w/amps & two head units replaced under the
trade in program.
