Thanks to Fred's providing me with non .PDF material, here's Fred's
Samco hose information in web page format:
http://www.elektro.com/~audi/samcoinst/
This also includes links to sources for clamps and smaller colored
hoses - so you can have matching red hoses for your vacuum lines.
Here's what the vendor has to say about color tuning of your hoses:
Tuning Tip: Red is a good color for all around performance, however
with a big turbo blue gets upwards of 10 hp, unless you have stock cams,
then only 5 hp. Purple is best for bottom end power, mix with red for
excellent mid-range. For NT cars, shift all recommendations one hue
towards a warmer color. Yellow hose should only be used on high
compression NTs or turbo cars with welded differentials.
I'll bet you didn't realize this was that influential! I'm glad I ordered
yellow Samco hoses!! Wait until I get my yellow vacuum lines ... they
ought to match my Hilo Hattie seat covers I'm getting on order!
