That's very solid advice, Mr. Nameless, and Paul and I will heed it and
confine our giggles to off-list email.
Thanks to everyone that's weighed in on my dilemma. I have the name of the
claims supervisor, and will take the case up with him tomorrow.
You've all given me the proper "Hey, wait a second, that's B.S.!" attitude I
need to push forward, and I will let the list know how it turns out.

Just a friendly thought: for those interested in any aftermarket warranty
please be careful in too much discussion on the list. With due respect to
Paul, you can bet all the dialogue about certain warranty companies has
internal watchdogs of said company looking for any reason to deny a future
claim by any list member. Remember, aftermarket parts, chips, etc. would be
a quick and easy reason to deny a claim, possibly canceling a policy.
Please consider off-list conversations when incriminating details may be
important. I have a warranty and certainly appreciate the knowledge this
list has given me when preparing to fight with the dealer/warranty people--I
just didn't want anyone set up for problems down the road.
Much love,
no name
