Within the last several weeks I have switched to an 86mm ID MAF vs the
RS2/stock 71mm MAF. This necessitated a switch to a totally different
Pederhousen SVT Cobra "bucket" cold air box. I did modify this box to accept
a similar 106mm ID RAIS(ram air intake system) that I had when I used the
stock box. The old "negative boost" articles that ran on Autospeed.com showed
a tremendous improvement using this system. When my Happersized turbo is at
full song(about 3300 rpm now) the RAIS is not rammin' no moe. It turns into a
large vacuum. Children and small animals beware. So, Joe that's why i don't
think that the RAIS has that much effect on the K&N's performance.
