Hi Frederic,

I had a bigger oil cooler fitted to the RS2. Stock
location, right corner. I used a Setrab SE-113, which
is 99 mm high, and about 300 mm wide (330 mm with
support feet).
If no other source is found, you can check dimensions
here (in finnish, page 37)
http://www.autoracing.fi/hinnasto2002.pdf

It did fit the stock location, although it is twice as
wide. It is very close to undertray though. Other
parts needed were 2 adapters to oil cooler outlet and
inlet, some Krontec connectors (cost a lot) and steel
braided oil line (not cheap either). I'd say the
cooler cost is 20-25% th of the total price, if you do
it yourself, then maybe 40%. Worth the cost if it
works.

No real tests on track yet. Was on track with it once
already, but at that stage the air flow was still
limited, because the new, bigger plastic piping to
lead air to whole oil cooler was missing. Only 1/3 of
area (about stock OC size) got air. Even without
decent piping, the oil temp did not exceed 130C,
climbed there after 2 laps, and stayed put. Too high I
know, but I had the 10W-60 Castrol, and had been
advised 120C was OK for that, 140-150 C the limit (by
a racing team with the btdt). The peak temperature was
a little lower than with stock OC, and climbed a lot
slower.

130C is still too high, but I think with the piping in
place, 120C will be max, could be even less. We'll
see. I can post you some pictures directly tomorrow.

Regards,
Jani
