This certainly would be one approach, but not many wheels clear my System 3
brakes. I have a second set of the forged 16x8 wheels and was hoping to put
tires on them...
The Dunlops look like pretty good tires, and they'd give better dry
handling, with slightly less snow capability due to the extra width...

We don't get *that* much snow in Boston, but we occasionally head north in
the winter, and I really enjoy being able to drive through virtually any
kind of weather (one of the reasons all of my last 4 vehicles have been
quattro or 4wd).
So I'm torn. Sounds like a set of A4 steel wheels *might* clear the S3
brakes, and I'll probably check that out. Thanks Peter! Other choices are to
pick up a set of 16x 7.5" Borbets or Mille Miglias that clear the brakes,
which would run in the $120-$150 range (or about what it will cost for me to
have the 16x8 wheels refinished, eventually!)
Decisions, decisions :)
