Perhaps warped rotors are sometimes simply coated with
so many brake deposits from a pad that's not up to
snuff?  I found that the Mintex red's leave sometimes
visible deposits with my driving style on my car.
(Had to make that perfectly clear.  ;-)  Some suggest
using a harder pad compound to remedy this and clean
up the rotors of these soft deposits.  But hey, that's
just me.
