in my case a new tank of Amoco 93 cured the pinging. I feel it was a bad
tank of gasoline: some generic no-name crap with which I filled the tank
in a pinch in Jersey recently.
Thankfully, here in PA Sunoco 94 is everywhere.

That is definitely in the future plans.

I pulled the codes yesterday. Nothing. I guess I lifted off quickly
enough when I heard the pinging and coasted my way out of the bad tank
of gasolin in a few days of gentle driving.
