What are some the preferred brake pad brands to put on my mostly stock S6???

I have not been satisfied with PBR pads on my 89 200T- they seem to work great for a week and then get glazed up and require more effort the older they get.
I would rather replace rotors more often than have my brakes not perform adequately !!!!.
