                  I need info on the 7A exhaust cam on our cars. I am gonna
install the sport intake cam from AVS and have access to a "freebee" cam from
a 20v coupe n/t. Is the lift and duration different or just duration? Has
anyone felt big gains? I asked Maxamillion McDonald at AVS and he thought the
car would no longer be emmissions compliant with that cam. Any info would be
Fantaistorific.>>

Not to bad mouth Max too much (I won't go into too many details), but I'd be
weary of anything he tells you.  He once told me that in order to put 40mm
intake valves in the 10v head would require relocating the spark plug...funny
thing is the factory didn't seem to have that problem when they began doing
it in '88 with no other changes.  Other things he's told me have turned out
to be flat out un-true.  I can't imagine why you wouldn't pass emissions with
the  7A cam, I know for a fact you'll pass here in the Bay Area, CA which has
to be one of the most strict smog areas around.

Should be fine assuming the turbo doesn't have excessive play in it.  The KKK
turbos are very tough, if its performing well now, no reason to mess with it.
 If you wanted to be extra safe you could have it rebuild for around $3-500.
