[s-cars] heat exchanger instead of the oil cooler

Ted,

You are correct, I am talking about water to oil cooler heat exchanger. The
reason of this approach is the fact that the water temperature never goes
more than 90 degrees celsius on track
Before installing such system, I am going put louvers on the left front
wheel liner. Possibly go for a bigger oil cooler (Porsche for exemple) or
have two stock Audi oil coolers. Fan Forced airflow can be an option as
well.

I will keep you posted.

Regards,
Frederic

an oil cooler is a heat exchanger. i presume you are talking about
using a water-to-oil heat exchanger instead of an air-to-oil heat
exchanger?

no experience with it on an S-car, but companies like Griffin and Howe
make radiators with built-in heat exchangers in the side tanks. i'm
sure there must be similar companies in europe that make radiators for
race cars.

have you considered fan-forced airflow on the existing oil cooler?
