Ed,
if it is indeed under the brake pedal, then your hydraulic brake booster
leaks Pentosin and needs to be replaced.
However, my two pennies go on the more typical big Audi problem - a
brake fluid under the clutch pedal due to the leaking clutch master
cylinder. It is mounted inside the cabin, upside down on the pedal
cluster.
And in my particular case the clutch hydraulics is also filled with
Pentosin, only "Pentosin the brake fluid DOT-4" :)
