You might want to consider getting classic car
insurance for your UrQ, if it's not a daily driver,
and save yourself some cash. I have 2 old "P" cars and
only pay $400 a year for full coverage because they
are insured with a classic car insurance carrier. I
usually only drive them on nice days and weekends, and
keep in a garage, so they qualify. I saved myself over
$1000 a year.

Taka,
Michigan mandates insurance if you are driving a car
in Michigan. It
is
against the law here to live in Michigan and drive a
car without
insurance -- and yet, we have a pretty high uninsured
motorist count --
with
our rates it's not surprising. I'm now paying ~$1600/
year for
comprehensive only on 200q20v and 1983 urq -- that's
right, no
collision --
was $2400/yr with collision on 200q20v only and no
comprehensive on
Urq). 2
points on my record in the last 3 years and v8
accident that was due to
failed master cylinder before that. Claims in last
three years:
Cracked
windshield on 200q20v.
