Mike
Here's my BTDT from july FWIW-

I might add that you will need some small bent nose circlip pliers.
And, as an alternative to draining hyd. fluid, open resevoir, cover
w/saranwrap and screw lid tightly back on to minimize fluid spill.
Also, as recommended by Scott J., filling new cylinder prior to install
may minimize bleeding. (but may be more of a mess?)
OR... as apparently your shaft broke in the middle allowing two welded
nuts to hold it, I'm not sure I dont like this as a permanent solution.
In fact after fixing mine, I thought I really should have covered the
whole screw shaft from clevis to cylinder with nuts for added diameter
and strength. (just a thought though, as Bentley recommends some
hairslpitting spec for clevis to cylinder distance that may be
impossible to attain, making this mod somewhat difficult. But BTW that
spec is unattainable anyway IME)
So, maybe a lotta loctite is all you need at this point. or Get it to
Bob Rosattos w/two six packs:)

FINALLY I'll say once again to anyone who's clutch goes to the floor:
KEEP DRIVING! Sure you'll be in Defcon3 panic powershift mode, but will
save yourself time & tow by making it home. Supposedly theres a way to
put it in first gear and start it again should you kill the motor,
though I am not sure how long your starter would last if done
repeatedly.

Welcome to the busted shaft club:)
Cheers'
