Capn Hap:

Thanks for the update, I thought it was sourced from somewhere in Socal. It
was my impression from Bennett that the unit was problematic. We'll see how
it's doin' when Dean appears at Road America in a week. Speaking of
appearing, Hap, when are we gonna see that BIG Happersized turbo at an Audi
Club event?

Marc: Keith Anderson at Anderson Motorsport sources the RS2 turbos from the
East Coast, I think. I did not check around on prices because Keith's are
very fair. Also, I'm not a wrench by any stretch and Keith's shop does all
my work. He is not big on the net and can best be reached at 952-937-8639.
Nothing to gain, just a satisfied customer.

that's me and the S2 next to the cake!)

Tom

That dual ball bearing turbo is from Innovative Turbo in Socal. IMO the jury
is still out on whether this is a feasible option. The basic turbo is a
Garrett unit that is modified by Innovative to incorporate the bearings.
Mike
P has had a serious whine, and i don't mean the Cabernet type either, in his
from day one. It was sent back and returned with the whine still singing
along. Brian Billotti has a similar turbo to Mike's with a slightly larger
compessor but he's still in the break-in mode and has yet to really explore
the envelope. It should be pointed out that these turbos are somewhat
smaller
than a certain turbo found in an Emerald green S4 located in Evergreen CO.
This in no way should be taken as anything negative on my part concerning
these two fine individuals.
