As some have mentioned, the sticky surface of _any_ vinyl/rubber/plastic
care product is actually the protecting part. What worries me by using
leather care stuff, is that it often contains more oil-based stuff, and
therefore are more prone to extract the softening ingredients of the
vinyl. Think I'll stick to the vinyl stuff to avoid premature cracking..
In the engine bay, I think the best is just to use some solvent and a
brush, and then hose it off. High pressure is used on some spots, but
I'd love to have hot water to flush with like Hap!  Hmm.. Guess I'll
just install it, then! ;o))
