Lee,
I'll put forth that the current (2002 feb) top dog in *studless* snow tires
is the Hakka Q. In snow, ice, rain they were phenomenal. I ran the hakka
1's at steamboat a few years ago. A great snow tire, but in every other
venue, subpar. The Q gives up nothing to the 1's, and outperforms it in the
wet, has less tread squirm in the dry, and is really close to the blizzack on
ice.

For more on a variety of tires, search the main list archives. Every year
(7) I went to Steamboat Ice Track I put up a tire report. Bob D bought Q's
for Steamboat in 2001 after our great experience with them on the ProRally
S2. Sipes rule....

If you guys have great correspondence and recommendations from other
studless Hakki Q users on the //S4 I might consider these over the Hakki 1s.
Since the //S4 will have 205/55-16 and not the 195/65-15s this might be a
better rouuute.
