<<<I write with regard to recent assertions published on your esteemed list,
in
which the reliability of sporting motor cars manufactured in Great Britain
was called into question, and in a certain mocking tone.
Frankly, I find these statements insulting in the extreme. Is there no
gratitude in your country for for the efforts made by our engineers? >>>

Regarding your manifesto...
Unfortunately, sometimes humor is lost in it's translation, in this case,
maybe culture. Especially via email / internet.
C'mon now, you post to the list as someone who's never cursed Lucas, The
Prince of Darkness??? And in doing so, did you say so to damn those and
their ancestors and their farmlands, or did you say it in frustration in an
attempt to make light of a particularly aggravating situation?
Without wasting a ton of bandwidth on this one, keep in mind this and most
lists are tongue in cheek and controversial. We all take it in stride.
Long story short, Adrian, is there are NO sports cars like British sports
cars, they are what started it all, and what have endured. If $$$ allowed,
I'd have a stable full of 'em. Remember, I CHOSE to own/restore/maintain
one... WHY would I do that if I were indeed slamming your entire nation and
it's forefathers, etc.?
Think that says it all my friend.
If it doesn't, well, then, I apologize for offending you, your nation, etc.
Not mine nor others' intention...
