[s-cars] side moulding

If one were not hopelessly cynical, one whould think that for $45k per
car, Audi could have the thin strips in the mouldings made from
stainless steel.  The incremental cost would be less than a dollar a
moulding.  These mouldings fail the same way on 90qs, so Audi certainly
have had sufficient warning.
