Started Saturday morning planning on installing the Stromung myself onto
my '93 S4, after 45 minutes and only one loose bolt later, I decided it was
over my prowess and took it to a professional. They were quite helpful,
during the
install although the cursed the impossible to reach nut (special Audi tool
required
or real creative problem solving). The dual tips were welded a bit crooked
so they
rewelded the back most hanger mount and the tips fit in perfectly. Took
them 5 hours, 3.5 which was just getting off the downpipe.
Impressions? Very satisfying rumble at low RPM's and not obtrusively loud.
The tone in the cabin w/the windows up is noticeable only at low speeds and
RPM's. Very satisfying! Throttle response seems quicker, but as
qualitative statements go, I won't elaborate much.
Kudos to Jeff Postupack for arranging the GP. He was very honest and
professional and I'd do business with him again. It was my first business
experience w/any lister and he was great. Thanks Jeff!
