I just bought this car a few weeks ago and have been reading this list ever=
since. You people are amazing. I also have a Volvo 850 turbo and have go=

I wash mine often. When done I remove the top spark plug/coilpack cover of
the engine. It is fastened with four Allen head screws. Use a 5mm Allen
wrench. You will find the spark plug cavities full of water and gunk. Spend
some time cleaning and drying this area and the coils and I bet your problem
stops. When I reinstall the cover I put a small amount of silicone sealant
at the rear where the wires exit to help prevent entry of water. Make sure
the o-ring type gasket is in good condition.
