Paul:

I just converted to Euro bumper and without really trying it, my opinion is
that is "Impossible".
The Euro bumper shortens the car by about 3", and is very tight to the
radiator. You have a lot more room in the US bumper, empirically if you
are willing to sacrifice part of the "5 mph aluminum guard rail"

Subject: [s-cars] Wrecked S6 :-(

It wasn't my fault for once! :-)

The Bad news:

While at work today, I was informed that someone had hit my S6 while parked
in the street. Trashy couple in a Chrysler reliance? wagon had their "brakes
fail" and creamed the drivers side front, which pushed the car into another
car behind it. when I went outside, the driver was on a streacher and
bleeding from various orafices (made me feel a little better). The passenger
had bailed out of the car before impact and had some serious road rash. They
were of course uninsured (its New Mexico).
Looks like around $7-8000 estimate.

The good news:
Looks like a $7-8000 estimate :0
I'll need new bumpers front and rear, so I will be doing either the Seidel
with US rear, or both Euro (depending on room for an Intercooler (looks like
mine cracked). Euro headlights, S6+ grille, and HOPEFULLY a carbon fiber
hood.

Which brings me to my questions, anyone know if you can fit a "Hap"
intercooler under euro bumpers? Carbon fiber hood, yes ricey, but my car is
black. Anyone know who will make one of these for me or us if anyone wants
to do a GP?

Hope to have her back together and lookin pretty again soon!

P.S. Frank, I can email you pics of my big Oil cooler since it is now
exposed with no bumper covering it.
