FWIW, you also need to make sure that the chipset does not have the
immobilizer function of the late RS2. If you have this code and try it
in an AAN car, the car will start and then stop with an "ECU locked"
fault code. The car will not restart after this until the faults are
cleared, but then the process will be repeated.
All of this is easily taken car of by just using the non-immobilizer
chipset...

ADU Rs2 and AAN ecu's will work in either car, but you need native
software
in either ECU, or the car won't run correctly.
Assuming matched hardware ( MAF/Injectors/FPR, etc):

ECU modifications in MAF circuit are necessary to run native rs2
software in
AAN and vica versa to achieve proper A/F ratio.
