I am the third owner of this amazing car.  There are about 75 right hand drives left out of 180 that were built for the UK market.  In total 1800 were produced.


I obtained the car from the owner of Cleeve Salvage (Gloucester) who owned the car for 4 years.  Prior to him the car had been stolen.  It was used in a ram raid, (right car to do it in if you’re into that!) the thieves re-sprayed it red and kept it for a few months? Hence if you carry out an HPI you will find it comes back as a CAT 1 right off, due to the first owner getting full price for the value of the car, i.e. the insurance company wrote it off.


The vehicle sustained no damage (open to any trial – you are welcome to view the £200 + AA survey I had carried out on the car, prior to purchasing her) apart from a minor dink on the rear top quarter which is invisible there is nothing wrong with the car, probably why Mr Cleeve decided to have the car bare metal re-sprayed to its original colour and keep it himself.  Mr Cleeve also has a Ferrari F40 and Jaguar XJ220, which in his words don’t come close to the all round performance of the RS2, hence he now drives an RS4, the only reason he sold the car.  If you require a mechanical report on the car you can contact Kim Collins (owner of Quattro Sports in Haywards Heath) who has carried out all major servicing for me as well as the engine refinements.


I have owned the car for nearly 2 years and have put approximately 40,000 miles on her.  I can honestly say it is the most reliable, comfortable and most definitely the fastest car I have ever owned!  If you, like me, prefer to have subtle power and show Porsches and the like a clean set of heels this is definitely the right car for you, I don’t know what the true acceleration is currently but I reckon it’s around the 4 second mark and will probably do in excess of 170mph, braver person than me if you want to do that!


The only reason I am selling the car is I have now changed jobs and no longer require the reliability or safety (okay speed then!).
