You don't need to drain the Pentosyn to check the filter, just pull it
straight up out of the reservoir.

I presume your mechanic cleaned the filters in the high-pressure hose
banjo bolts.  Is the new Pentosyn still clear looking, or is it getting
dirty?

Note that any leakdown will lead to a temporary light at startup.
Besides the bomb check valve, it is also possible for leakdown to occur
at the power brake mechanism.  This can be tested by removing a hose.
See the Bentley for the details, because I don't remember them.
