[s-cars] stumble at 6500rpm

Hi,
  While taking advantage of the cold dense air in the Midwest today my car
developed a stumble around 6500rpms at WOT. It would pull hard and then just
cough when I hit 6500rpm almost the same feeling as the rev limiter. After
the cough it would go full power and then cough again almost instantly.
Otherwise the car felt fine. Could this just be a spark plug issue or has
anyone experienced this and found it to be something else? Thanks for any
