It's the seam next to the center console (left sitting in passenger seat),

There has been plenty of discussion on which upgrade to do. I've got MTM 1+
from previous owner and have no complaints at all. My comparison was a 95.5
stock Avant I used to have. Some folks even re-code their own home-brew
style.

ok, kick panel out, carpet is ready to be cut.  Do i just cut along the seem
that appears to already pre-exist?  Any other hard parts to worry about on
the way?  When i am done, should i send the ECU to Hoppen or Andersen, and
what is that process like?  thanks!
